I am deeply passionate about mountain gorillas. So in 2005 I founded the charity Gearing Up 4 Gorillas and am working toward making a practical difference on the ground to the conservation of Virunga. I actually began my 30-year career in countryside management as a ranger in the UK, working all over the country. Today I head up the team at Cranborne Chase and West Wiltshire Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in Dorset. Four border collies do a grand job keeping me fit.
